To, ABC Girl
Subject: Offer of love!

Dearest Ms prey,

I am very happy to inform you that I have fallen in Love with you since the 14th of October (Saturday).

With reference to the meeting held between us on the 13th of Oct. at 1500 hrs, I would like to present myself as a prospective lover. Our love affair would be on probation for a period of three months and depending on compatibility, would be made permanent. Of course, upon completion of probation, there will be continuous on the job training and performance appraisal schemes leading up to promotion from lover to spouse. The expenses incurred for coffee and entertainment would initially be shared equally between us. Later, based on your performance, I might take up a larger share of the expenses. However I am broadminded enough to be taken care of, on your expense account.

I request you to kindly respond within 30 days of receiving his letter, failing which, this offer would be canceled without further notice and I shall be considering someone else. I would be happy, if you could forward this letter to your other friends (girls), if you do not wish to take up this offer.

Wish you all the best!

Yours sincerely,

Is It Love You’re Feeling Or Just An Infatuation?

Infatuation is instant desire - one set of glands calling to another.
Love is friendship that has caught fire. It takes root and grows, one day at a time.

Infatuation is marked by a feeling of insecurity. You are excited and eager but not genuinely happy. There are nagging doubts, unanswered questions, little bits and pieces about your beloved that you would just as soon not examine to closely. It might spoil the dream.
Love is the quiet understanding and mature acceptance of imperfection. It is real. It gives you strength and grows beyond you to bolster your beloved. You are warmed by his presence, even when he is away. Miles do not separate you. You have so many wonderful little films in your head that you keep replaying. But near or far, you know he is yours and you can wait.

Infatuation says, “We must get married right away. I can’t risk losing him.”
Love says, “Be patient. Don’t panic. Plan your future with confidence.”

Infatuation has an element of sexual excitement. Whenever you are together you hope it will end in intimacy.
Love is not based on sex. It is the maturation of friendship that makes sex so much sweeter. You must be friends before you can be lovers.

Infatuation lacks confidence. When he’s away, you wonder if he is cheating. Sometimes you check.
Love means trust. You are calm, secure and unthreatened. He feels your trust, and it makes him even more trustworthy.

Infatuation might lead you to do things you will regret, but love never steers you in the wrong direction.
Love is elevating. It lifts you up. It makes you look up. It makes you think up. It makes you a better person than you were before.

I Am Losing My Favourite Game - Cardigans

Another beautiful song by cardigans. I watched Need For Speed Most Wanted promotional video by some NFSMW fan and in the background I heard this song. I searched and now finally I have got it. Video of this song is kind of creepy as I saw that too at youtube. I won’t recommend to watch that (You will feel your jaws wide open at the end of video) but music is great. I have written lyrics of song here also. Enjoy!

I am losing my favourite game by Cardigans

I don’t know what you’re looking for
You haven’t found it baby, that’s for sure
You rip me up and spread me all around
In the dust of the deed of time.

And this is not a case of lust, you see
It’s not a matter of you versus me
It’s fine the way you want me on your own
But in the end it’s always me alone

And I’m losing my favourite game
You’re losing your mind again
I’m losing my baby
Losing my favourite game

I only know what I’ve been working for
Another you so I could love you more
I really thought that I could take you there
But my experiment is not getting us anywhere.

I had a vision I could turn you right
A stupid mission and a lethal fight
I should have seen it when my hope was new
My heart is black and my body is blue

And I’m losing my favourite game
You’re losing your mind again
I’m losing my favourite game
You’re losing your mind again
I’m losing my baby
Losing my favourite game

I’m losing my favourite game
You’re losing your mind again
I’ve tried
I’ve tried
But you’re still the same
I’m losing my baby
You’re losing a saviour and a saint

The Consequences Of Falling

Yet another exceptional song. Enjoy. I did not like the movie ‘Sweet November’ much but still the song is lovely.

The Consequences Of Falling from Sweet November

are you breathing
what i’m breathing
are your wishes
the same as mine

fire you needing
what i’m needing
i’m waiting for a sign

my hands tremble
my heart aches
is it you calling
if i’m alone in this
i don’t think i can face

the consequences of falling
are you thinking
what i’m thinking
does your pulse
quicken like mine

are you dreaming
what i’m dreaming
i can’t read your mind
one step towards you
two steps back
feels like i’m crawling

if i’m alone in this
i don’t think i can face
the consequences of falling

Importance of Dua (Prayer, Asking From God)

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) said:
“Whoever does not ask from Allah, He (Allah) becomes angry at him.”
(An authentic Hadeeth reported by Ibn Majah, At-Tirmidhi, Al-Haakim and others)

In the previously quoted saying of the Prophet (PBUH), there is proof that the supplication means requesting something from Allah, through which His Contentment is attained. This is since not asking from Allah out of pride and self-dependence is not permissible with respect to the Self-sufficient, the Most Praiseworthy.
A poet took the meaning of this Hadith and put it into poetic form saying:

“Allah becomes angry when you abandon asking Him, while the Son of Adam becomes angry, when you ask him for something.”

Therefore, Allah loves from His servants that they ask Him and that they turn towards Him and that they manifest their destitution and lowliness in front of Him. And He has made it a duty upon Himself to not send them back disappointed and empty-handed, as His Messenger (PBUH) has informed us:

“There is not a Muslim upon the earth that calls to Allah with a supplication except that Allah gives it to him or He removes some evil of equal proportion from him as long as he doesn’t supplicate for something sinful or to sever family ties.”
So a man amongst the people said:
“What if we ask numerous requests?”
He (PBUH) said:
“Allah is Akthar (Able to respond to numerous requests).”
(Sahih Kitaab Al-Adhkaar wa Da’eefihi (1223/920 & 1224/961)

In this is a sufficient clarification of the fact that Allah guarantees the answering of the supplications. This is however, according to its conditions. Thus, we shall go into details with the discussion concerning it, its description, its conditions, its proper time and place and its etiquettes, as well as what invalidates it.

Socialism In Islam

The Muslim is Friendly And Likeable

The Muslim who truly understands the teachings of his religion; is gentle, friendly and likeable. He mixes with people and gets along with them. This is something which should be a characteristic of the Muslim who understands that keeping in touch with people and earning their trust is one of the most important duties of the Muslim. It is an effective means of conveying the message of truth to them, and exposing them to its moral values, because people only listen to those whom they like, trust and accept. Hence there are many Hadiths which commend the type of person who is friendly and liked by others. Such a person is one of those chosen ones who are beloved by the Prophet (PBUH) and will be closest to him on the Day of Resurrection:

“Shall I not tell you who among you is the most beloved to me and will be closest to me on the Day of Resurrection?” He repeated it two or three times, and they said,
‘Yes, O Messenger of Allah (PBUH).’ He said:
“Those of you who are the best in attitude and character.”
(Reported by Ahmad and its Isnad is Jayyid).
Some reports add:
“Those who are down to earth and humble, who get along with others and with whom others feel comfortable.”

One of the attributes of the believer is that he gets along with others and others feel comfortable with him. He likes people and they like him. If he is not like this, then he will not be able to convey the message or achieve anything of significance. Whoever is like that has no goodness in him, as in the Hadith:

“The believer gets along with people and they feel comfortable with him. There is no goodness in the one who does not get along with people and with whom they do not feel comfortable.”
(Reported by Ahmad and al-Bazar; the men of Ahmad’s Isnad are Rijal as-Sahih)

The Prophet (PBUH) set the highest example of good behaviour towards people. He was skillful in softening their hearts and called them to follow him in word and deed. He demonstrated how to reach people’s hearts and win their love and admiration. He was always cheerful and easy-going and never harsh. When he came to any gathering, he would sit wherever there was a free space, and he told others to do likewise. He treated everyone equally, so that no one who was present in a gathering would feel that anyone else was receiving preferential treatment. If anyone came to him and asked for something, he would give it to them, or at least respond with kind words. His good attitude extended to everyone and he was like a father to them. The people gathered around him were truly equal, distinguished only by their level of taqwa. They were humble, respecting their elders, showing compassion to young ones, giving priority to those in need and taking care of strangers.

The Prophet (PBUH) never used to disappoint anyone who came to ask from him. There are three characteristics that he did not possess:

  1. He was not argumentative.
  2. He did not talk too much.
  3. He did not concern himself with matters that were not his business.

There are three things that he never did to people:

  1. He never criticized anyone, he never said “Shame on you!” to anyone.
  2. He never looked for anyone’s faults.
  3. He never said anything but that for which he hoped to earn reward.

When he spoke, the people around him would listen earnestly, sitting still as if there were birds on their heads. When he was silent, then they would speak. They never argued with one another in his presence. They would smile at whatever he smiled at, and would be impressed by whatever impressed him. He would be patient with a stranger who might be harsh in his requests or questions, and his Companions would ask the stranger to speak gently.

He said, “If you see someone in need, then help him.” He never accepted praise except from someone who was thanking him for a favour, and he never cut off anyone who was speaking; he would wait until the person indicated that he had finished, or stood up.
Aishah tells us that he used to be cautious of the worst type of people, and he would speak gently to them and treat them well. A man sought permission to enter upon him and he said, “Let him in, what a bad brother of his tribe he is!” When the man came in, he spoke gently to him. Aishah said: ‘O Messenger of Allah (PBUH), you said what you said, and then you spoke gently to him.’ He (PBUH) said, “O Aishah, the worst of people is the one whom people avoid (or are gentle towards) because they fear his slander.” (Bukhari and Muslim). The true Muslim follows in the footsteps of his Prophet in his dealings with all people, whether they are good or bad, so that he is liked and accepted by all people.

Somebody You Love And Somebody You Like

Differences Between “Somebody You Love” and “Somebody You Like”

In front of the person you love, your heart beats faster.
But in front of the person you like, you get happy.

In front of the person you love, winter seems like spring.
But in front of the person you like, winter is just beautiful winter.

If you look into the eyes of the one you love, you blush.
But if you look into the eyes of the one you like, you smile.

In front of the person you love, you can’t say everything on your mind.
But in front of the person you like, you can.

In front of the person you love, you tend to get shy.
But in front of the person you like, you can show your own self.

You can’t look straight into the eyes of the one you love.
But you can always smile into the eyes of the one you like.

When the one you love is crying, you cry with them.
But when the one you like is crying, you end up comforting.
