If you have had enough of the stresses and strains of modern life and you want to spend just a few hours getting away from it all, how about booking in for a revitalizing facial or a super relaxing massage? There are lots of great spas to choose from in London, offering everything from microdermabrasion to hot stone massages, so whatever it is that ails you, there’s going to be a spa with a treatment for it.  Here are a few suggestions of some great London spas where you can spend an hour drifting away on a cloud of chilled out bliss.

Pasha Hammam & Beauty (http://www.hamam.pashagroup.org) is a Turkish Bath on Camberwell Road, where you can be buffed and polished to within an inch of your life. The Turkish bath rituals include a session with a scrub mitt and foam massage, black soap and ghassoul mud, combined with steam and warm temperatures for full body purification, exfoliation and detoxification.  A regular 60-minute Hammam visit will cost you £15.

The Harley Street Skin Clinic (http://www.harleystreetskinclinic.com) specializes in anti ageing treatments, including microdermabrasion, facial peels and non-surgical face lifts.  Book in for a treatment here to deal with unsightly veins, neck wrinkles and facial lines and leave feeling completely rejuvenated and renewed.

Saiba Beauty (http://www.saibabeauty.co.uk) near Victoria station has an excellent range of good value treatments at great prices.  The salon offers Dermalogica facials, Indian head massage, aromatherapy treatments and deep tissue massage, as well as more practical options like waxing and threading.

If you’ve been through everything on the regular spa menu and are looking for something new to try then Bliss Fish (http://www.blissfish.co.uk) in southeast London is perfect.  The way the treatment works is that you submerge your hands or feet is special tank filled with Garra Rufa fish, which will work gently nibbling and exfoliating any unwanted dead skin cells.  It might sound like a slightly terrifying experience, having you feet munched by fish, but the craze is spreading so there must be something to it!

Mo’mels Day Spa (http://www.momelsdayspa.com) on the Caledonian Road in Islington has a variety of excellent treatments on offer, in particular an anti ageing range that includes the intriguing sounding Galvanic Facial, which softens lines and wrinkles to leave you with firmer, plumper skin.

Enhance Beauty Clinic (http://www.enhancebeauty-clinic.com) on Connaught Street has a fantastic menu of treatments, with a focus on hair removal and improving skin condition.  You will find everything from microdermabraison, to skin lightening, facial peels and acne treatments here at competitive prices.

The Wyndham Place Clinic (http://www.wyndhamplaceclinic.co.uk) in Marylebone specializes in skin and beauty and has a reputation for its semi permanent make up services.  The clinic offers skincare/facial analysis and consultation, standard beauty treatments and Botox, as well as bespoke packages for weddings and special occasions.
