Kraftwerk (“power plant” or “power station”) is a pioneering and a highly influential electronic music band from Germany. The signature Kraftwerk sound combines driving, repetitive rhythms with catchy melodies, mainly following a Western classical style of harmony, with a minimalistic and strictly electronic instrumentation. The group’s simplified lyrics are at times sung through a vocoder or generated by computer-speech software. Kraftwerk were one of the first groups to popularize electronic music. In the early to late 1970s and the early 1980s, Kraftwerk’s distinctive sound was revolutionary, and it has had a lasting effect across many genres of modern music.

Crazy Frog, originally known as The Annoying Thing, is a computer animated character created by Erik Wernquist. The animation was originally created to accompany a sound effect produced by Daniel Malmedahl while attempting to imitate the sound of a two-stroke moped engine. A 17-year-old student Daniel Malmedahl recorded himself impersonating the noises produced by internal combustion engines. He posted this on a website and caught the attention of a Swedish television researcher, who convinced Daniel to perform the sound live on air. The Crazy Frog spawned a worldwide hit single with a remix of “Axel F”, which reached the number one spot in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Turkey, New Zealand, Australia and most of Europe. The subsequent album Crazy Frog Presents Crazy Hits and second single “Popcorn” also enjoyed worldwide chart success, and a second album entitled Crazy Frog Presents More Crazy Hits was released. The Crazy Frog has also spawned a range of merchandise and toys, and video games.

Miley Ray Cyrus is an American recording artist and actress. Cyrus is best known for starring as the title character in the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana. Following the success of Hannah Montana, in October 2006, a soundtrack CD was released in which she sang eight songs from the show. Cyrus’ solo music career began with the release of her debut album, Meet Miley Cyrus on June 23, 2007, which included her first top ten single “See You Again”.
